Senior Finance Controller - London - Up to £100K

One of the most well established Energy and Utilities Companies is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Controller to take ownership of the finance function, driving strategic priorities and delivering exceptional financial leadership. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Finance Controller will be to lead financial control, reporting, and forecasting, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. You will also act as a key strategic partner during a period of growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Finance Controller:

• Oversee accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and robust reporting.
• Ensure adherence to technical accounting standards, including IFRS9.
• Lead and manage financial operations to drive strategic objectives.
• Deliver accurate financial insights to support informed management decisions.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide financial expertise for cross-functional initiatives, including technology transformation and commercial decisions.
• Enhance efficiency and scalability through continuous improvement of financial systems and controls.
• Lead, develop, and assess the performance of a high-performing finance team.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems (e.g., Sage50 or similar).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of translating complex financial data for non-financial audiences.
• Coordinate the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity for management.
• Manage external audit processes and ensure compliance with IFRS9 and other relevant accounting standards.
• Experience with derivative and fair value reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of IFRS9 and financial reporting standards.
