Job description

Investigo have partnered with a growing Energy company headquartered in London who are currently looking to expand their finance function with a new Senior Financial Controller to lead the team and reporting function. This is an excellent opportunity to support the businesses with embedding accounting best practice and partnering with senior management. The role would suit an individual who is looking to join a busy and dynamic work environment and enjoys Financial Analysis and Business Partnering.

Location: Hammersmith, London

Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 + bonus

Hybrid working: 3 days office based

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversight of all financial control activities, including monthly and quarterly disclosures
2. Provide financial information to senior management team aiding in sound financial decision making
3. Work closely with auditors and act as first point of contact
4. Lead on all budgeting & forecasting
5. Improve finance operations and systems
6. Maintain and implement technical accounting standards
7. Timely preparation of monthly management accounts
8. Year-end accounting and submissions
9. Management and development of the finance team

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualification
2. Strong technical accounting knowledge including IFRS 15 and IFRS 9
3. Strong Excel and ERP systems knowledge, ideally Sage50 experience
4. Experience of budgeting & forecasting processes
5. Experience of derivative and fair value reporting
6. Exposure to commodities trading
7. Energy or utilities experience is preferred
