Amazon Supply Chain forms the backbone of the fastest growing ecommerce business in the world. The Supply Chain Finance team is responsible for ensuring that the planning and execution of the UK fulfilment is implemented in the most cost optimal way.

We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our team, where you will give us the visibility we need to drive Amazon forward. The Supply Chain Finance team continuously pushes improvement in our inbound and outbound metrics, including optimising inventory placement, processing efficiencies, maximising speed and minimising distance travelled with the aim to deliver an excellent experience to our customers. This role gives you the opportunity to see how we make business decisions as you gather all the insights that we need to shape our future. As a senior analyst, you are a quick thinker: able to manage competing priorities while providing level-headed guidance, even during unexpected events.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance.
2. Accurate reporting of EU level strategic projects, sharing financial analysis with business partners, making recommendations to reduce costs or optimise operational metrics further.
3. Create meaningful reports to support with strategic decision making through outstanding data collection and analysis.
4. Via root cause analysis, deep dive variances to budgets for the network, identifying risks and opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or any similar discipline with a clear analytical bias.
2. Demonstrable financial acumen, including deep familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, as well as in root cause data interpretation.
3. Experienced with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Access, PowerBI, Python); you’re comfortable to provide recommendations for strategic decision-making.
4. Advanced-level proficiency in Excel; you’re comfortable with power query, pivots, lookups, VBA and more.
5. You’ve gained significant, relevant experience in similar senior analyst position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Demonstrable problem-solving ability, alongside previous analyst experience, particularly in root cause analysis.
2. Highly analytical and detail-oriented.
3. You combine your professional competency with an ability to develop new ideas, and creative solutions: you implement these to great effect.
4. Organised multitasker: you prioritise your workload, enabling you to meet tight deadlines, while achieving results, especially in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
5. You’re a proven communicator, with excellent presentation skills when working with multiple peer groups and varying levels of seniority.
6. Previous analyst experience in the financial side of manufacturing, logistics or distribution centre processes is a nice to have.
