Job description

An exclusive opportunity has become available for a Senior Finance Analyst (ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified) to join a Global Sports Business, based in the heart of Central London. Supporting the senior finance team, this is a key position playing a vital role in providing financial information and analysis.

Ideal for a qualified accountant with post qualification experience, this is a brilliant opportunity to work on the front line of the industry whilst working for one of the most successful companies in the sporting world.

The role will involve but not be limited to the below tasks:

  1. Work alongside the Revenue Accountant in preparing and distributing revenue invoices.
  2. Review of revenue contracts for invoicing and financial reporting considerations.
  3. Credit control (including invoicing and follow-up of outstanding amounts).
  4. Maintenance of the debtors ageing report.
  5. Key person in preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  6. Preparation of month end flux analysis, particularly on debtors' recovery.
  7. Support the business partner in preparing budget and reforecast tasks.
  8. Liaising with project managers to ensure project budgets are up to date.
  9. Perform calculations, analyses and reports as requested by the FC & FD.
  10. Support annual statutory audits by preparing documentation.
  11. Support the FC & FD in ad-hoc projects.

The ideal candidate:

  1. Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA or international equivalent) + suitable post qualification experience in a sports business is desirable.
  2. Understanding of the relevant industry environment - sports.
