The Role

This role is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working and ambitious fully-qualified accountant to develop their career within a fast-growing Fintech firm. Verto is rapidly expanding into new markets, providing excellent opportunities for a driven analyst to grow their career in Fintech and gain exposure to all aspects of Finance. The ideal candidate should be versatile and open-minded to engage in different tasks. As a key member of a growing team, you will be involved in a variety of workstreams, including financial reporting, financial analysis, and process improvements across Verto entities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Financial Reporting:
  • Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining ledgers.
  • Preparing financial statements and reports for management review.
• Financial Analysis:
  • Conducting in-depth financial and data analysis to support monthly performance reporting
• Accounting Operations:
  • Managing accounts receivable processes.
  • Assisting with compliance and tax filings.
  • Supporting the financial audit process.
  • Improving the accounting operation and internal controls across various Verto entities.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures.

What Skills and Experience You'll Need

• Fully-Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
• 1-3 years of industry experience, ideally within Technology or Financial Services.
• Proven experience in preparing management accounts.
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting software packages.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with large datasets and complex formulas (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
