Job description

Salary: USD $43.81/Hr.

Description and Responsibilities

Open Sky is seeking an experienced analyst to serve in the full-time role of Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will lead the organization’s annual budget process, including deploying timelines, providing system training, rolling forward Power Plan, supporting leadership with analysis and education, and providing the Chief Financial and Operating Officer with reporting for presentation to Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors. They will also analyze monthly financial statements for the programs of Open Sky, as well as design, configure and maintain various Power BI dashboards, including financial dashboards, key performance indicator reports and others.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical skills, such as analyzing financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, preparing, and presenting financial analysis. They will have great attention to detail, organization skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Other Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a technical point of contact for software-related inquiries in the business office, troubleshooting report issues as needed.
  • Design, configure, and maintain various Power BI dashboards, including financial dashboards, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, employee vacancy reports, and productivity trackers.
  • Help refine key metrics and performance indicators used to evaluate overall business performance.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports utilizing Microsoft Power BI. Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field highly preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate analytical skills, such as analyzing financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, preparing and presenting financial analysis.
  • Must be skilled in financial modeling and data visualization, with a focus on the creation and maintenance of Microsoft Power BI dashboards to deliver valuable insights across the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and experience with budgeting software, Power BI/Tableau and general ledger required.
  • Valid Driver’s License, and acceptable driving record required.
  • Experience or knowledge in a non-profit organization highly desired.
