Senior Finance Solicitor (Manager), Belfast, suit 5 years + PQE, £58K+

Our client is a large global law firm with a well-established international Banking and Finance practice, known for executing high-profile and complex finance deals with accuracy and speed. The London Finance Division provides advice to lenders, borrowers, advisers, and other key players in the financial markets on all types of financings and cutting-edge transactions, including 'first to market' novel structures and cross-border deals.

The Finance practice encompasses a wide range of specialist finance areas, including derivatives and structured products, debt-capital markets, energy finance, project finance and infrastructure, real estate finance, leveraged finance, and structured finance.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Digital Legal Delivery Finance senior team, leading the delivery of BAU outsourcing mandates for banks and asset manager clients, as well as ad-hoc and regulatory projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver excellent client service and manage discrete pieces of legal work.
2. Build and strengthen relationships with clients, acting as a direct point of contact.
3. Manage workload to support optimal utilization; assist senior team as required, acting as lead lawyer; delegate and provide feedback to juniors and communicate progress on tasks to supervisor and team members.
4. Make an effective contribution to the firm, working closely with the Head of Digital Legal Delivery, Finance, and the wider Digital senior leadership team to further develop the Digital Legal Delivery Finance practice.
5. Comply with risk requirements, firm policies, and all relevant professional responsibilities and legislation.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant areas of law, providing technical excellence in specialist areas of the Digital Legal Delivery practice.
7. Seek to improve processes and offer innovative solutions to clients, including enhancing legal service delivery through legal technology tools.
8. Coordinate business development activities for the Digital Legal Delivery, Finance practice, and attend client meetings, conferences, and events.
9. Lead on pitching activity for clients and business development, attending client presentations and events.
10. Line management responsibility for Senior Solicitors, Solicitors, Trainees, and Legal Analysts as directed by the Digital Legal Delivery, Finance senior team.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or Northern Ireland (or willing to requalify if necessary).
2. At least five (5) years' relevant PQE (unless exceptional circumstances exist).
3. Extensive experience in derivatives, specifically in negotiation of trading documentation ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Documentations, GMRA, GMSLA.
4. Strong legal skills, including drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
5. Advanced people management and business development skills.
6. Solid understanding of law firm profitability and key drivers for financial efficiency.
