Role: Senior Finance Manager - Projects

Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA - Office Based

Contract: Full-Time Hours / Permanent

Salary: £57,425 - 67,925 + Bonus

About the Role:

EG Group have an exciting new vacancy for a projects Senior Finance Manager to join our growing finance function at EG Group. Reporting to the projects Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role within the finance function, particularly focusing on managing improvement projects as well as continuously improving financial processes.

Working alongside peers, you will manage financial projects end-to-end from working with stakeholders and planning projects all the way through to successful project delivery and measuring benefits realisation. As a project leader, you will ensure all work outputs are executed to meet requirements, taking into consideration interdependencies between your work and other projects/programmes of work. Projects are likely to cover all aspects of financial activities including people-related, system implementations and process improvements.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the implementation of medium to high scale projects, managing multi-disciplinary teams and working to various timescales, to ensure delivery standards and the achievement of the company's objectives.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, partners and contractors, to ensure all parties are informed and appraised of project progress, and objectives remain aligned.
  • Translate project objectives into plans, costs and schedules, managing finances across the project lifecycle through accurate forecasting, to meet agreed time, quality and cost standards.
  • Analyse and compile a range of complex data and documentation, using knowledge and work carried out by others to review options and provide recommendations in the project decision-making process.
  • Utilise knowledge and experience of industry best practice to develop processes and review policies on a project basis, ensuring changes are in line with the Company's strategic objectives.
  • Successfully invest expertise to enable the wider function to unblock obstacles preventing progress and development.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Accountant - 5+ years PQE ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS.
  • Proven experience of project management across a range of financial projects.
  • All round knowledge of finance departments and ways of working in large finance teams.
  • Excellent communicating and influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate, collaborate and influence.
  • Proven financial management skills and commercial acumen, with a high degree of organisational skill.
