Senior Finance Business Partner - Strategy and Transformation

General Summary
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will serve as a key financial advisor to Chemonics International and Chemonics UK, helping drive strategic decision-making and improve overall financial performance. You will work closely with senior leadership to build strong relationships across departments to ensure effective collaboration and financial management across the Enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business units to understand their financial needs and objectives and ensure common understanding of those objectives at the Enterprise level.
- Work with the Enterprise Consolidation team to understand Enterprise priorities and ensure common understanding of those priorities within the business units.
- Support the business units to ensure the Enterprise understands any limitations or constraints and work with all parties to find proposed solutions and an agreed approach.
- Work closely with business unit department heads and managers, as well as all Enterprise F&A departments to align financial strategies with the overall Enterprise goals.
- Collaborate with business unit staff and all Enterprise F&A departments to ensure timely and complete reporting of Enterprise-required information. Contribute to business unit to develop and analyze financial data, performance metrics, and market trends to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
- Contribute to business unit preparation and presentation of financial reports, including budget variances and forecasts to Enterprise, and assist in decision-making.
- Provide financial input into strategic plans, helping identify opportunities for growth and cost optimization.
- Provide support to the business unit to ensure the business unit produces accurate and timely financial information for the Leadership Team, Senior Management Team, Board, and the Enterprise.
- Collaborate with business units during the budgeting process helping departments set realistic financial targets and priorities. Support the team to maximize commercial strategies to enable maximum financial performance.
- Identify financial risks and work with business units to develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Contribute to Enterprise compliance with applicable loan agreements by understanding, monitoring, and supporting adherence to covenant requirements, in collaboration with the Enterprise Treasury department.
- Support internal and external audits and address financial compliance issues.
- Serve as a financial advisor and advocate, fostering strong working relationships with business unit leaders.
- Act as a liaison between the Enterprise F&A and business units, facilitating effective communication.
- Collaborate with the business unit and GTID to devise a plan for reporting from SAP in the long term via solutions such as PowerBI.
Person Specification- Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the Enterprise.
- Professional finance qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CTP) are required.
- Proven experience (8 years) in a finance business partnering role or in a similar commercial finance role.
- Experience working in a professional services environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, forecasting, and budgeting is required.
- Knowledge of US accounting standards is desirable but not required.
- Proficient in financial modeling and analysis using tools such as Excel or financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, D365).
- Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and driving solutions.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel up to 8 weeks per year.
