We are working with a brilliant restaurant and catering business that has an established network of clients and customers.This role sits within two very prestigious client and operates as a stand-alone.

You’ll be working as part of a small team, and you will have exposure to many elements of their business.The role would suit an ambitious, motivated Finance Assistant or Assistant Management Accountant who enjoys the hospitality sector, loves working in a team and is looking for a challenging, long-term position.

Responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of all purchases using Foodbuy & SAP bi-weekly
• Highlighting and investigating variances
• Reviewing all outstanding action on Foodbuy
• Ensuring all purchases are correctly approved and coded
• Maximising purchasing compliance
• Supplier statements
• Reconciliation of daily taking for all operational units, investigating and highlighting variances
• Monthly, matchday and adhoc billings
• Ensuring correct client codes and/or purchase order numbers are used
• On account charges, approval and cross-charging
• Maximising purchasing compliance
• Completion of all reconciliation to month end deadlines
• Ensure minimal outstanding queries
• Support with adhoc analysis as required

The Successful Applicant

• At least 4 years experience in a finance role – ideally in Hospitality
• Ideally studying for a CIMA/ACCA
• Accuracy and the ability to hit time pressured deadlines
• Confidently able to manage a wide range of activities across a fast-moving business, in a calm and structured manner
• Well organised, process driven with the ability to problem solve
• Can communicate well with all levels of colleagues and will have the confidence to persevere
• Flexibility and a can do attitude
