Role Overview:

My client is currently seeking a Senior Private Family Solicitor to join the firm’s dynamic and growing family law department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced solicitor to work with a team that is well known for providing expert advice in complex family matters, including divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, pre-nuptial agreements, and more. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload, working closely with clients, and providing high-level strategic advice in a professional and empathetic manner.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing a diverse and complex caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, financial disputes, child arrangements, and pre-nuptial agreements.
2. Providing high-quality advice to clients, ensuring a personal, professional, and empathetic approach.
3. Handling high-net-worth individuals and sensitive family matters with discretion and attention to detail.
4. Assisting clients in mediation, negotiation, and litigation when necessary, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
5. Managing relationships with clients, both new and existing, providing ongoing support and legal guidance.
6. Contributing to the firm’s development through networking and business development activities.
7. Mentoring junior members of the team and providing training as required.

Key Requirements:

1. Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in private family law.
2. Proven expertise in managing high-net-worth family matters and complex legal issues.
3. Strong knowledge of family law, financial settlements, child law, and pre-nuptial agreements.
4. Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and difficult situations.
5. Ability to work independently, whilst also collaborating effectively with a wider team.
6. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
7. Enthusiastic and motivated to contribute to the growth of the department.
