OVERVIEW
As part of our ongoing company expansion, Camm & Hooper (C&H) is looking for a Senior Event Operations Manager, who can support the Group Operations Director in the running and ownership of all Camm and Hooper venues & events within London. We run a variety of events from intimate private dinners to famous awards ceremonies.
The Senior Event Operations Manager is responsible and accountable for the overall performance of the events being run within the business. The Senior Event Operations Manager works to ensure that all activities are consistent with and supportive of the business plan budget. The Senior Event Operations Manager ensures all team members, supervisors, and managers are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job descriptions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) would include revenue and profit target achievement, restaurant and bar GPs, budget management, team member turnover, service standard targets, and managing all suppliers and partners.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Event Operations to lead our operational strategies and enhance the overall efficiency of our organisation. This pivotal role will oversee the day-to-day operation of our event venues and event delivery, ensuring that all departments work cohesively to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with a proven track record in managing teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering events to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Group Director of Operations to develop and implement operational policies and procedures and ensure a smooth operational function across all departments.
- Oversee day-to-day events across all Camm and Hooper London venues.
- Collaborate with department heads to set performance goals and monitor progress towards achieving them.
- Conduct monthly team review meetings to ensure all company KPIs are being met.
- Enhance guest satisfaction through effective communication and by fostering a culture of excellence in service delivery.
- Work alongside the Group Director of Operations to account manage supplier relationships.
- Collaborate closely with all other departments to ensure the successful delivery of all Camm and Hooper events.
- Work with the Head of Beverage and Head of BOH & Logistics to ensure monthly equipment and drink stock takes are completed.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently while identifying opportunities for upselling and revenue generation.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff to improve organisational skills and time management within teams.
- Analyse operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Ensure venue compliance with health and safety & fire regulations, as well as industry standards.
Line Management
- Line manage and support all lead venue managers, event operations managers, & event operations supervisors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior operations role within the hospitality sector, preferably in events.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on guest services.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a multi-site operation.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also leading independently when required.
