This is a dynamic and hands-on role that requires excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will work closely with colleagues, clients, and statutory regulators to ensure environmental compliance, risk mitigation, and continual improvement.

What will I be doing?

  1. Be the go-to expert - offer environmental advice at every project stage, keeping everything compliant and on track.
  2. Assess and plan smartly - carry out impact assessments and create strategies that align with our Environmental Management System.
  3. Turn data into action - collect, monitor, and analyse environmental performance to drive improvements.
  4. Keep standards high - lead inspections and audits to ensure compliance with ISO 14001, legislation, and permits, tackling any issues head-on.
  5. Stay proactive on safety - report incidents and near misses, categorize them, and ensure corrective actions are in place.

What do I need to succeed?

If you have experience in an environmental role within civil engineering, utilities, or a related industry, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of environmental legislation, risk management, and sustainability - someone who's proactive, solutions-focused, and ready to make a real impact. You'll play a key role in ensuring compliance, driving best practices, and working closely with colleagues, clients, and regulators.

A degree in Environmental Science (or equivalent experience) is essential, along with knowledge of consents and permitting. As this is a field-based role, a full UK driving licence is required.
