Job description

Senior Engineer - Navigation and Signal Processing

Our client develops and manufactures subsea navigational products. They are looking to hire an engineer with experience in signal processing, marine acoustics, radar or ultrasound technologies, to develop and optimise acoustic sensors.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge subsea navigation technology used on marine robotics and autonomous vehicles. The company is offering a competitive salary and benefits package - please contact me for further details.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  1. Design and develop underwater velocity sensors (DVLs, CVLs, EM Logs).
  2. Develop and refine signal processing algorithms for high-accuracy navigation.
  3. Implement algorithms into well-structured, robust software.
  4. Test and validate performance through simulation and real-world experimentation.
  5. Collaborate with experts in transducer design, mechanical and electronic engineering, software development, and application engineering.
  6. Work on cross-functional projects, aligning developments across other product lines such as ADCPs.
  7. Optimize sensors for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to enhance their use in marine robotics applications.
