Overview of the role:

To further support the growth and demands in the business, we are seeking a Senior Engineer that will be integral to the component design and release process for E&E components, development of standards and creation and delivery of training material for Electrical CAD packages.

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Engineer – EDS Applications

1. Definition and ongoing development of the whole Electrical CAD package for use across the JCB Group
2. Definition of business processes to enable efficient use of the toolchain
3. Integration of the Electrical CAD package with Teamcenter and NX
4. Creation and delivery of training material for Electrical CAD package and associated tools
5. Managing the day-to-day issues as they arise ensuring prompt investigation and closure
6. Managing the associated applications that are utilized as part of the design process
7. Support of Electrical database administration
8. Technical process support including leading the digitization of machine audits/assessments
9. Develop a close working relationship with our Electrical CAD vendor to continually develop the toolchain for JCB

Person

1. Educated to a minimum HND level in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
2. Extensive experience in a wiring harness development environment for Tier 1 harness manufacturer or machine manufacturer
3. Application support and development experience in Zuken E3, Captial Harness or Arcadia tool suites
4. Self-motivated and capable of working well both alone and as a member of a team
5. Experience in automotive or off-highway electrical systems.
6. The ideal candidate should be a team player with a “hands-on” approach to problem-solving. You will operate and manage within a team and under your own initiative, interpreting specifications and contributing to technical discussions.
7. Proven track record of multiple simultaneous project deliveries.
