About the role

  1. Contribute to winning and delivering technical projects, from feasibility studies to experimentation, analysis, and reporting.
  2. Manage projects effectively, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  3. Take ownership of individual projects or work packages, efficiently utilising team resources as required.
  4. Conduct detailed technical research, including literature reviews, desk studies, and data analysis from multiple sources.
  5. Produce high-quality technical reports and presentations for clients, industry bodies, and public organisations.
  6. Support business development through tender writing, commercial strategy, and client engagement.
  7. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
  8. Stay at the forefront of industry developments by attending conferences, networking events, and engaging in peer reviews.

Do you have what it takes?

  1. Degree in Engineering, Science, or industry-equivalent experience.
  2. Strong technical understanding of renewable energy technologies and the gas industry.
  3. Experience in hydrogen science and economy.
  4. Excellent numerical skills and demonstrable consultancy experience (IT, Technical English).
  5. Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  6. Practical, hands-on approach, with the ability to link technical content to commercial reality.
  7. Resilient, dynamic, and results-driven with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  8. Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel as needed.

What can you expect from us in return?

  1. £40,000 - £48,000 per annum
  2. Generous Annual Leave - Starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy additional leave and increased entitlement with length of service.
  3. 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, lab-based role.
