About the Senior Employment Lawyer position:

Sellick Partnership is thrilled to be assisting a Local Authority in Surrey, who are looking to recruit a Senior Employment Lawyer on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking, cohesive and flexible legal services team.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with office attendance generally expected twice per week, as required.

Responsibilities of the Senior Employment Lawyer will include:

  • Providing solutions focused advice on Employment law matters to the Council, schools and Fire and Rescue service
  • Providing advice on a range of matters, which may include disciplinary action, grievances, discrimination, whistleblowing, recruitment, restructures, TUPE and exit strategies
  • Managing Employment Tribunal cases on behalf of the Council
  • Advising Members and Senior Officers of the Council

Experience required for the Senior Employment Lawyer position:

  • Qualified Solicitor/Barrister/Legal Executive
  • Substantial experience within employment law
  • Experience of both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters
