Our client is a Chambers-ranked Legal 100 firm with an enviable reputation for all employment related matters.

Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Employment Associate [6 PQE+] to join their Berkshire team and take responsibility for a diverse caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters.

Experience of leading on employment tribunal claims is preferable.

This Employment team are seeking a 6 PQE+ Associate and the successful candidate will be based in Berkshire and support the partners across all offices when needed.

The successful candidate will ideally have Employer, HR support and Senior Executive experience.

With high visibility (both within and outside the firm), including a key role in business development and full partner support, this position offers a fantastic platform for career development and would suit someone with drive and ambition.

The Berkshire office works for a number of well-known employers and has a significant proportion of clients in the tech and education sectors.

Responsibilities:
  • Strong track record of dealing with employer advice and senior executive matters. To undertake fee-earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the Employment Team and Business Services Division.
  • To contribute to the successful development of the firm in line with the business plan and firm’s commonality of purpose.
  • To deliver a high quality commercial legal service ensuring personal compliance with quality standards and professional ethics.
  • To be an ambassador for the firm at all times and always promote it in a positive light.

The teams Chambers-rated employment services include advising on: employment contracts and policies, performance and absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures and managing restructuring, redundancies and executive severance as well as ad-hoc, day to day support to employers. The team also advise on all aspects of disputes and discrimination issues, regularly dealing with Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation.

The firm’s top-ranked employment team handles a wide range of quality contentious and non-contentious work including employee relations advisory work, disputes in the tribunal and courts, drafting employment documentation, corporate transactions and commercial outsourcing TUPE work.

The employment team provide legal advice and solutions to business owners, FTSE 350 companies, public and private sector organisations, charities and high-net worth individuals.
