Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer– Solar, Storage and Private Wire Development

The EDF RUK portfolio of nearly 1,000 MW consists of 35 wind farms – including two offshore wind farms – and some of the largest operational battery storage units in Europe.
As the Electrical Development Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical concept development and front-end engineering design, transitioning projects from concept to deliverable work packages.
Focus on optimisation and efficiency to push the boundaries of delivering a sustainable renewable future.
Embed engineering excellence, operational experience, and best available techniques into engineering activities.
Consider risk and lifetime costs in all engineering endeavors.
Support the development team in creating new sites, encompassing Battery Energy Storage, Solar, Private Wire, and Hybrid projects, which may include other technologies such as wind or hydrogen.
Play an integral role in the development team, leading on electrical optioneering, to ensure feasible electrical engineering solutions are developed and progressed into delivery.
Build successful relationships with external partners, peers, stakeholders, and reporting lines to enhance collaboration and project success.
Your expertise in electrical engineering, optioneering, project delivery, and especially cable routing, will be key to our success in this dynamic and exciting field.
Minimum of an electrical engineering degree.
Health and Safety Certification: NEBOSH or IOSH (or equivalent) certification is desirable.
Highly proficient in Electrical Engineering, especially MV/HV within generation environments.
Ability to review create/electrical designs, schematics and specifications. Demonstratable experience in performing preliminary electrical apparatus ratings and cable size estimation.
Competency to scope and review technical FEED studies (load flow, reactive power capability etc.)
