Principal / Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services)

Location: Exeter, Devon – Flexible Working

Salary: £55k - £65k

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design.
  2. Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams.
  3. Attending a range of project group and technical meetings.
  4. Ensuring that the design of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements.
  5. Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint.
Experience and Skills Required
  1. Experience running building services projects from conception through to completion including calculations, drawings, specifications, etc.
  2. A relevant electrical or building services degree.
  3. Competent in leading design projects and managing internal engineering teams.
  4. Have a sound understanding of working in a consulting practice.
  5. Able to support and mentor junior engineers.
