The Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is seeking to appoint a Senior Education and Outreach Assistant. The Role Holder ensures that all visitors to and users of the facilities in the Museum are served to a consistently high standard, with particular focus on the Centre for Material Culture. They are responsible for the preparation and day-to-day practical aspects of educational and community activities organised by the Head of Public Engagement and Learning of the Museum, both at the Museum and off site as required.
The Museum is the second largest of the University of Cambridge's eight museums and is both a museum open to the general public and a research and teaching facility of the University. The Museum is open to the public Tuesdays to Sundays and welcomes over 100,000 visitors a year.

Some evening and weekend working will be required. This is a fixed-term appointment with funds available for 18 months in the first instance.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (enhanced with children's barred list), a security check, and a health assessment.
