Senior Ecologist

Brighton £30,000-£40,000

I am pleased to announce that we are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join a brilliant team in Brighton!

They work with a range of clients (involving some of the largest house-builders in the UK!), and have an excellent network of over 30 experienced professionals on their team.

They are a multi-disciplinary consultancy, where you would get the opportunity to work with a mix of skilled consultants in landscape, urban design and heritage. This will support you in developing a broader understanding of developments as well as ecology and biodiversity.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Supporting junior members of staff as well as lead ecologist in project delivery.
  2. Leading protected species surveys and overseeing PEAs, EcIAs, HRAs and BNG assessments.
  3. Using QGIS to prepare technical drawings.

Requirements:
  1. Experience with protected species surveys (survey licences beneficial).
  2. Strong knowledge of wildlife legislation.
  3. Full UK driving licence.
