We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead our Infrastructure Solutions Software development team. As a key leader, you will lead the full development and delivery life cycle of software solutions that operate within the Infrastructure (Cloud/Data Centre, Telco/Enterprise Networking) ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background in Infrastructure and/or Embedded domain, strong leadership skills, the ability to drive large-scale initiatives in a fast-paced environment, and experience and ability in leading and growing teams in at least three different countries covering a team size of 100 to upwards of 250+ people.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for all software development activities related to Arm Infrastructure Software Solutions. Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology roadmaps with business objectives.
• Build, grow, lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team with presence in multiple countries, including managers, architects, and software engineers, embedding a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead multiple software development projects, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and resources are led efficiently. Work closely with Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Manage relationships and engagements with partners and suppliers for the development and delivery of production quality software.
• Partner with company-wide teams, including Product, IT, Security, and Operations, to ensure the successful delivery of Infrastructure Solutions software.
• Stay ahead of trends, standard processes, and innovations demonstrating this knowledge to guide the evolution of our platform and ensure future readiness.
• Provide hands-on guidance in software development, debugging, performance tuning, and systems integration to resolve technical challenges and drive platform efficiency.
• Implement standard methodologies and optimize software development processes (e.g., Agile, DevOps) to enhance team efficiency, improve product quality, and accelerate delivery.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks ensuring robust security, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated significant experience driving large-scale software development initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and growing a team of between 100 to 250+ people across multiple geographically dispersed countries.
• Deep understanding of the Infrastructure domain, industry standards, software frameworks, and associated toolchains.
• Experience in security, performance tuning, system architecture, releasing and maintenance, preferably within the Infrastructure domain.
• A solid technical background within Infrastructure or embedded systems domain.

“Nice To Have”:

• Software leadership experience within Infrastructure Solutions semiconductor provider or a hyperscaler.
• Experience of the wider Infrastructure ecosystem, Arm architecture and relevant software ecosystems.
• Familiarity with open source software and working within open source ecosystems.

Salary Range: $336,600-$455,400 per year
