What you will be doing

• Define and lead the implementation of Breathe’s DevOps practices
• Continuously improving our engineering efficiency
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and automation within the engineering team
• Coordinate collaborations across the engineering organisation to improve product development speed
• Ensure the scalability and reliability of our infrastructure to support business growth
• Work closely with software engineers, IT, and other stakeholders to streamline processes and improve communication

Your day to day

• Implement and support the implementation of CICD, e.g. automation pipelines, IaC, branching and merging strategies, etc.
• Manage key engineering software (e.g. licenses and uptime), specifically Matlab, Jama, SCM, Package management, Python
• Support engineers to onboard onto our tools and use them efficiently
• Ensure that software development practices are known and adhered to across the engineering organisation

Your background

• Knowledge of key DevOps tools (Git, Gitlab, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Azure/cloud)
• Experience with both SaaS and on-prem services and their management
• Understanding of IT infrastructure and networking principles
• A track record of implementing DevOps practices from scratch
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Knowledge of security principals and practices in a DevOps context
• Ability to work cross functionally in a Kind and Conscientious manner
