We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Development Underwriter to join our Accident & Health team. This is a job for someone who has experience of operating as a senior underwriter and enjoys being part of a dynamic team looking to build out off the back of a diverse profitable book.

This is an exciting time to join the division as we are launching a new market leading proposition, Contingency and Political Violence and Terrorism Insurance.

A bit about the job:

The Senior Accident & Health Underwriter will join an established A&H team currently trading a broad range of Group Personal Accident, Business Travel, Affinity and digital policies. In this crucial role, the focus will be on underwriting and prospecting of new business with an expectation to grow a book of profitable business.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Established broker relationships in their local market and the ability to grow their own profitable book of business
  • Strong Technical A&H underwriting capability
  • Works well as part of a dynamic team with a proactive approach
  • Being a coach and mentor to less experienced members of the team
  • Bringing new ideas and initiatives to the product team to help ensure total customer protection
