Senior Development Chemist

CK Group is recruiting for a Senior Development Chemist, to join a leading adhesives manufacturer, for the marine and construction industry.

The role is based at their site in Romsey, Hampshire.

Working Hours:

08:30 – 16:30, Monday - Friday. This is a permanent role with a salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per Annum.

Responsibilities:

• Formulation of epoxy systems, predominantly for adhesive and composite applications.
• Analysis of experimental results and writing technical service reports.
• Evaluating the suitability of alternative raw materials in existing formulations.
• Testing of mechanical properties.
• Writing technical service reports.

Background:

• A degree, ideally a PhD in a Chemistry or Polymer related subject, with practical experience of epoxy formulation.
• Experience of epoxy systems, polyurethane chemistry exposure or understanding.
• Awareness of ISO9001:2015 quality management system requirements.
