Job description

CK Group is recruiting for a Senior Development Chemist, to join a leading adhesives manufacturer, for the marine and construction industry.

The role is based at their site in Romsey, Hampshire.

Working Hours:

08:30 - 16:30, Monday - Friday. This is a permanent role with a salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum.

Responsibilities:

  1. Formulation of epoxy systems, predominantly for adhesive and composite applications.
  2. Analysis of experimental results and writing technical service reports.
  3. Evaluating the suitability of alternative raw materials in existing formulations.
  4. Testing of mechanical properties.
  5. Writing technical service reports.

Background:
  1. A degree, ideally a PhD in a Chemistry or Polymer related subject, with practical experience of epoxy formulation.
  2. Experience of epoxy systems, polyurethane chemistry exposure or understanding.
  3. Awareness of ISO9001:2015 quality management system requirements.
