Company & Project: An award-winning main contractor operating in the Education, Mixed-Use, and Healthcare sectors, is seeking to recruit a Senior Design Manager to work on an Education project from early feasibility stages through to on-site design coordination. The project is valued at c£30m.

Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for technical compliance and design management predominantly at early feasibility and procurement stages, with involvement in monitoring on-site design coordination and managing external consultants.

You will act as the key point of coordination between the design teams, client, and on-site delivery team.

A process-driven individual with practical construction knowledge and a keen eye for detail is essential for this role.

Desirable Experience:

1. Extensive experience as a Design Manager on complex construction projects in excess of £20m+ from early planning stages through to project completion.
2. Minimum of 10 years' experience working for either an Architectural Practice, Developer, or Main Contractor.
3. Excellent knowledge of construction methodology, Design & Build contracts, and experience working on Education sector projects would be advantageous.
4. Previous Roles: Technical Manager, Senior Design Manager, Design Manager, Senior Design Co-ordinator, or Design & Build Manager.

Qualifications & Skills: HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
