Job description

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Bedfordshire based client to recruit for a Senior Demand and Inventory Planning Supervisor.

Primary responsibility of the role:

To manage both a team and the process of the Demand and Inventory planning forecast, ensuring uninterrupted supply to customers.

Day to day duties:

1. Implement systems and procedures to ensure that demand plans are updated, and the integrity of the demand plan is maintained
2. Working with key stakeholders to create accurate demand planning forecasts
3. Providing key demand analysis
4. Validating purchasing plans and progressing through to placement of orders
5. Identifying potential stock shortages and taking corrective action
6. Monitor supplier performance
7. Management of a team of 3

Experience and Qualifications required:

1. Educated to A level or equivalent
2. At least 5 years demand planning experience with long lead time goods
3. Strong analytical skills
4. Team management experience
5. Strong computer skills including Excel
6. Experience using an ERP system
