DC Pensions Consultant

Aon is hiring! We are seeking a DC Pensions Consultant to join our team. This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work both virtually and from the office (location is flexible).

What the day will look like

Reporting to the Team Manager, you will take ownership for the retention and development of a book of business. You will build client relationships, attend client meetings, provide expert advice to ensure client product and service needs are met and stay up-to-date with current trends in the industry, monitor market developments and identify revenue generation opportunities for existing clients.

You will also:

  1. Create business development plans and identify appropriate business development strategies enabling the team to meet its overall business targets.
  2. Where applicable, ensure the requirements of the Financial Services Market Act 2000 and Aon's Compliance criteria are met in relation to Regulated Business carried out within specific specialist area.
  3. Upon identification, report risks to the Operations Director and/or Compliance Director to ensure appropriate risk management activities are implemented.
  4. Ensure working practices are in adherence with Aon UK T&C processes and procedures; where necessary provide evidence and information to appropriate parties which demonstrates compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Ensure that any potential E&O cases are addressed in accordance with an appropriate procedure to minimise Aon's exposure.
  6. Provide information and updates as requested for regular and ad hoc financial statements for regulatory, accounting and other purposes.
  7. Manage revenue recognition and client billing.
  8. Develop the content and messages for written client communications issued by the organisation, in conjunction with relevant parties.
  9. Continuous professional and personal development including keeping abreast of statutory obligations and relevant FCA guidelines and legislation.
Skills and experience that will lead to success

As a DC Pension Consultant, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  1. Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
  2. Ability to advise employers and those in senior company roles at a strategic level.
  3. Experience in compliance with regulatory requirements and changes in legislation.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and comfortable advising employers and those in senior company roles at strategic level.
