Job Advert Role Description
Opportunity Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior DBT Therapist to join a growing DBT service at our Hospital in Roehampton. The DBT service comprises 4 weekly skills groups, providing treatment for up to 40 clients at any one time. Reporting to the Outpatient Therapy Lead, the successful candidate will provide leadership to the service and own its organisation and development.

Person Specification:
The ideal candidate for this position will have successfully completed the intensive DBT training with British Isles and demonstrate strong experience and confidence in delivering skills groups and 1:1 therapy.
Qualifications and Knowledge:
Essential: Professional registration and/or membership relevant to the post; Intensive DBT training with British Isles.
Experience:
Essential: Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation; Evidence of working as part of a DBT Service.
Desirable: Development of specialist/advanced level of practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development.
Skills and Competencies:
Essential: Ability to demonstrate ethical values and attitudes within a culture of equality and diversity.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
