This role is available for a period of 12 months.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will take ownership of key data initiatives that drive the success of our products. Your role will blend hands-on technical work with strategic collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results.
- Teaming up with stakeholders from product, engineering, finance, marketing or operations to analyse customer behaviour and shape product development strategies.
- Leveraging SQL and Python to build and optimise data models, automate workflows, and support data transformations. Use these models to create impactful dashboards that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Leading the development and deployment of machine learning models to improve decision-making and product personalisation.
- Exploring and implementing emerging AI technologies to enhance products and business operations.
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members, cultivating an environment of learning, collaboration, and innovation.
The skills you’ll need
To excel in this role, you’ll need a combination of leadership experience, technical expertise, and strong communication skills. Specifically, we’re looking for:
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience, with a track record of supporting team members in a fast-paced, evolving environment where roles and responsibilities grow with the business.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data modelling and familiarity with tools like DBT and GitHub.
- Hands-on experience with dashboarding and data visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- A solid understanding of analytics techniques, including experimentation, statistical inference, and machine learning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
