Senior Data Engineer £60,000-£70,000
Location: Remote - England Based
I am delighted to be partnering with a leading consultancy, they have some exciting projects coming available and will be looking for someone technically strong, with a commercial mindset. This role will be predominantly remote, with occasional travel to site when clients request.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:
- Bring a broad skill set in data engineering, with a strong track record of delivering solutions within Microsoft Azure.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and collaborate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Leverage your experience in data engineering to develop high-performance, end-to-end solutions in a team-oriented environment.
- Deliver high-quality work, proactively identifying and escalating challenges to clients or senior team members while proposing effective solutions.
- Contribute to the growth of the Consulting practice by participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives and enhancing data services.
- Demonstrate success in delivering commercial projects using modern data technologies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, reviewing their work and ensuring alignment with project and organisational goals.
As Senior Data Engineer, you will have:
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Fabric.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python with hands-on expertise in working with relational SQL databases, both on-premises and in the cloud.
- Proven ability to deliver multiple data solutions, leveraging key methodologies such as Governance, Architecture, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, Master Data Management, and Business Intelligence (BI).
- Strong understanding of engineering delivery processes, including Agile, DevOps, Git, APIs, Containers, Microservices, and Data Pipelines.
- Experience working with Spark, Kafka, or Snowflake.
- Skilled in providing insightful data solutions that drive business value.
- Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing effectively to meetings.
- A strong team player, committed to supporting and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- A track record of delivering accurate, high-quality output while taking responsibility for key project elements.
- Awareness of industry standards, regulations, and emerging trends in data engineering.
