We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile
Senior Data Analyst / Engineer to join our EMEA Data & Analytics team supporting MAX Streaming. This role blends responsibilities across data analytics and data engineering-ideal for someone who can work across both stakeholder-facing insights and technical data pipeline development. You'll work closely with stakeholders across business and product teams to understand their needs, translate them into data solutions and provide actionable insights that shape strategy and execution.
This is a permanent contract.Key Responsibilities- Liaise with stakeholders across marketing, product, content and operations to gather and clarify data and reporting requirements
- Translate business needs into technical data specifications for reporting, dashboards, and analysis
- Build robust dashboards and automated reports using tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar
- Design and execute deep-dive analyses to explore customer behaviour, product performance, and key KPIs
- Build scalable and reusable data models that power self-service analytics and dashboards
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure smooth ingestion, transformation, and governance of data
- Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to ensure key data fields and metrics are accurately surfaced and maintained in Looker
- Work with large-scale datasets using SQL or Python ensuring accuracy, performance and scalability
- Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear, concise and compelling manner to non-technical audiences
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in data collection, data quality and analytical processes
Qualifications & Experience- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a similar role
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with data wrangling and transformation
- Proficiency in Python (or another scripting language) for data manipulation and automation
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Experience working in media, streaming, or a customer-focused industry preferred
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and experimentation is a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have- Experience working with dbt or similar data modelling tools
- Familiarity with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
- Exposure to machine learning workflows or predictive modelling (optional)
Hybrid WorkingThis role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
