Our Wealth and Personal Banking business supports millions of individuals, families, business owners, investors and entrepreneurs worldwide. Our Risk and Compliance function has a critical role to play in supporting, challenging and advising across all areas of the business through establishing policy, monitoring profiles, and identifying and managing forward-looking risk and compliance. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join the team as a Senior Credit Risk Manager. This is a unique opportunity to support an established team to accelerate the one day mortgage ambition.

In this role you will:

1. Manage credit risk requirements in a series of projects seeking to simplify the customer journey, which in turn will help the secured business to grow safely.
2. Work through the different touchpoints in the customer journey, simplifying by using technology and data to achieve the same results in a more efficient way.
3. Lead and develop Secured credit, property and climate risk policy for the UK, ensuring compliance with regulation and internal policy, driving good customer outcomes.
4. Work closely with Global Risk Teams to ensure guidelines and procedures are followed and that best practice techniques are introduced where appropriate.
5. Manage and develop MI and reporting to deliver actionable insight.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

1. Previous credit risk experience at a senior manager level.
2. Ability to optimise journeys whilst mitigating risk.
3. Innovative and ready to apply skills to an ambitious mortgage lender.
4. Recent experience of working with third parties to leverage new data and technologies to streamline customer journeys.
5. Python or SAS coding capabilities.

This role is based in Birmingham, Sheffield or Leeds.
