You will work closely with the Global Credit Manager to assess risks and make informed decisions. Additionally, you will provide vital support to our business units and credit risk community, ensuring they meet their objectives while minimizing credit-related losses.

How you’ll make an impact

• Contribute to Global Credit annual review process for key counterparties. Conduct research and document initial recommendations for credit decisions for large customers and projects.
• Authorize credit limits within own assigned limits.
• Oversee and manage the activities of Local Credit Responsibles, providing training and guidelines to ensure excellence in credit risk management.
• Support Local Credit Committees and Business Units, including limited travel to countries.
• Monitor KPIs such as credit exposures, limits, past dues, and potential bad debt.
• Drive AR related working capital projects in assigned area of responsibility.
• Drive development, maintenance, and upgrade of Hitachi Energy’s Global Credit tools for stable credit operations.
• Prepare material for presentations, data analytics, and maintain internal communications platforms.
• Participate with the BUs in settlement of significant delinquent accounts and support the handling of significant accounts involved in bankruptcy or impacted by legal proceedings.

Your background

• Demonstrable credentials as knowledgeable in Subject Matter area.
• Several years of relevant experience in credit risk analysis of corporates and financial companies, business analysis, management reporting with a large corporate, bank, or rating agency.
• Experience in large global processes and projects (including ICoFR).
• Professional qualification such as ACCA and/or Post-graduate degree in Business Administration.
• Graduate degree in Commerce / Finance / Statistics / Economics or technical degree.
• Fluent in English and possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Capability to establish a network of experts and animate a community.
