  • Prepare Credit Application Report (CAR), make decisions regarding credit applications of local end customers, vendors, or resellers within own credit authority, as well as preparation and recommendation of credit requests for higher-level decision-making, including committee level.
  • Gather information about customers/suppliers, using internal systems and processes, verifying their completeness and currency.
  • Monitor, coordinate and advise on credit and risk profiles, corporate and external policies, regulations and sales mandates, in collaboration with the various departments involved.
  • Prepare structured financial analysis via ratio and peer group comparison, understanding the risks surrounding types of assets funded and the ability to realise assets.
  • Contribute to the development of local policies and regulations on credit and risk management.
  • Provide information, support, training and align front and back office colleagues on credit and risk management.
  • Find workable solutions to closing new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business – Sales, Collections, Asset Management, Legal and Operations.
  • Identify ways in which credit processes can be improved to deliver efficiencies and implement changes.
  • Assist sales and deal negotiations by undertaking site visits to vendors and customers.
  • Maintain an interest in the wider economic environment and changes in market/asset sectors in the UK & Europe.
  • Have a good understanding of compliance requirements in the UK.
