Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Cost Manager for a full-time role for the commission with a major oil, gas & energy client.

The role is based in Sunbury on Thames near Heathrow, working full time at the location, it may be possible to get one day a week remote.

The role will require some travel to Paris and other site locations expensed by the company.

Our client would benefit from Cost Management experience with a focus on Civil, Mechanical, pipework, electrical or instrumentation.

The role:

1. Analyzing and interrogating EPC contractors' cost collection, reporting, and forecasting.
2. Operating in environments where parties aim to safeguard their contractual positions.
3. Contributing to cost input within the change management process.
4. Negotiating rates and prices with the contractor.
5. Reviewing and assessing cost and commercial submissions from the contractor, offering advice and guidance to the client.
6. Agreeing on the value of work completed, including processing valuations, applications, and invoices.
7. Ensuring all parties adhere to the change management process.
8. Finalizing the value of work done under fixed-price agreements.
9. Negotiating target cost and pain/gain incentive schemes.
10. Reviewing and verifying costs in alignment with the schedule of cost components.
11. Verifying contractor estimates.
12. Auditing costs in accordance with the contract.
13. Leading cost reviews and representing the client in meetings with the contractor.
14. Providing cost-related input to the client's project team and business support functions (e.g., finance).
15. Offering ad-hoc support to the client as agreed with the client PCM.
