Senior Corporate Actions Analyst

A Corporate Actions role in a busy operations team supporting our Wealth Platform clients. SEI supports a broad range of Corporate Actions, Proxy Voting and Fund conversions via our technology solutions. Candidates will be required to demonstrate a pro-active approach to client service and risk mitigation and an appetite for continuous process improvement.
What you will do:Key objectives of the role:- Process global corporate events across multiple clients in a timely manner
- Handle multi-currency CA transactions and events related to Traditional assets and Mutual Funds
- Provide strong oversight of functions executed by an offshore team.
- Manage operational relationships with our custody network.
- Process Proxy voting across multiple markets.
- Maintain a strong Risk framework via incident reporting and adherence to our RCSA.
- Provide support for implementation of new client relationships.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):- Process global corporate events across multiple clients using in house and market systems.
- Review, investigate & resolve exceptions
- Review event detail dealing with custodians and second source validation where applicable.
- Monitor and resolve stock holding discrepancies with custodians and fund providers within defined time frames
- Resolve differences from cash reconciliations between internal ledgers and cash agent balances within defined timeframes.
- Escalate any issues to Supervisor immediately.
- QA daily workload to identify errors, provide feedback, identify trends and contributing factors and recommend solutions
- Provide recommendations for improvement around process, control and efficiencies
- Liaise with Operating and business units as required to provide awareness of processing problems as they arise.
- Proactively manage the client experience
- Participate in ad hoc projects as required
- Measure and feedback the performance of our custodians, primarily in terms of the accuracy and timeliness of their information and payments.
Other:- Keep Current - (market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc) and maintain ongoing and effective communication and alignment of these with client business practices.
- Maintenance and updating of internal systems/ data reference points in agreed format to ensure consistency and communication of relevant information within the team and ensure integrity of data
- Any other ad-hoc projects as required
What we need from you:- Solid understanding of global corporate events
- Good understanding of the securities industry
- Knowledge of UK impact on book costs arising from CA processing including apportionment based on first day market value rules
- Knowledge of SWIFT format messaging preferred but not essential
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
- Excellent project management, organizational and PC skills.
- Process-oriented with strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with tight delivery schedules.
