Job description

Senior Contract and Pricing Executive required by a Friendly, Active Travel, Tour Company. £33-35K per annum. Based in Hertfordshire. The Senior Contracts and Pricing Executive manages the administrative functions within the Product and Commercial Department, including product scheduling, deadlines, and setup. They ensure efficient product planning and execution, aiming to accelerate market entry. This role includes conducting competitor pricing analysis, leading a team, and enhancing the inhouse system, while prioritizing tasks and assessing the financial and operational impacts of decisions.


Contract and Pricing Executive Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Product Scheduling: Develop and oversee the annual schedule for product releases, ensuring a structured approach for regular product reviews and defining deadlines for all stages involved in bringing products to market. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure these deadlines are communicated effectively, including for product launches and brochure deadlines.
  2. Standardization of Product Processes: Implement a uniform approach for managing contract-related tasks, ensuring contracts are signed and handled according to established company protocols.
  3. Contract Oversight: Make certain that specialist product contracts meet P&C requirements and align with business goals. Ensure there are effective operational procedures to manage these contracts. Offer recommendations to P&C Managers on contract adjustments that could speed up market introduction, including those involving third-party partnerships or DMCs.
  4. Contract Entry & Pricing: Oversee the timely and accurate loading and pricing of products in line with the specifications set by the product team. Ensure that, where possible, a standardized process is followed to streamline the product entry procedure.
  5. Market Competitor Research: Conduct regular competitor pricing analyses and ensure that any approved changes are swiftly put into effect.
  6. Ticketing & Vouchers: Develop and maintain a smooth process for booking tours and issuing related vouchers to ensure efficiency.
  7. Team Leadership: Supervise and support the development of two Contract Administrators, ensuring they have clear goals and personalized development plans in place.

Contract and Pricing Executive Skills:

  • Strong numeracy and literacy abilities, with clear and concise communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in using tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation and extract relevant insights from complex datasets.
  • Solid skills in managing data and processes efficiently.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
