The Role and the Team

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Content & PR Manager to join our growing Brand & Communications team within Marketing to play a pivotal role in amplifying Blue Light Card’s mission and impact through compelling content strategies and innovative PR campaigns.

This is a strategic and hands-on position, requiring a blend of creativity, leadership, and a strong understanding of multi-channel communications to deliver measurable results.

Our Marketing team is the driving force behind our brand and member engagement, connecting with the Blue Light community in meaningful and impactful ways. We don’t just promote – we inspire, engage, and build lasting relationships and memories.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop a content strategy and tone of voice that aligns with business objectives and resonates with Blue Light Card’s diverse member base
  • Spearhead the creation and execution of a multi-channel content calendar, integrating seasonal campaigns, member stories, and evergreen themes
  • Oversee the production of high-quality content across blogs, videos, newsletters, and social media, ensuring consistency with the brand’s tone and mission
  • Leverage member-driven narratives and user-generated content to foster deeper loyalty and engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, securing impactful earned coverage
  • Collaborate with our PR agency to develop proactive and reactive campaigns, including crisis communication strategies
  • Partner with community and member services teams to integrate insights and member needs into content and PR that inspire member advocacy
  • Define and monitor KPIs for content and PR activities

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in content creation, PR, or communications within a consumer-focused or membership organisation. Familiarity with sectors such as emergency services or healthcare would be desirable
  • Strong storytelling and narrative development skills, with a focus on engaging diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to secure high-quality media coverage and manage impactful PR campaigns
  • Expertise in managing multi-channel content strategies, including social media, email, and traditional media
  • A data-focused approach with experience in measuring and reporting on campaign effectiveness
  • An understanding of content personalisation and segmentation to enhance engagement
  • Knowledge of emerging GenAI tools for content creation at pace and scale
