Senior Construction Underwriter

Job Description

We are pleased to be working on behalf of a global insurance provider, who require an experienced Underwriter to join their growing UK construction / engineering department underwriting and producing insurance and reinsurance business within authority levels.

Responsibilities:

1. Underwrite cases in a consistent and technical manner within the authority limit.
2. Act as the primary contact for medium sized clients and support with larger sized clients.

Qualifications:

1. Experience from an engineering underwriting background.
2. Knowledge of the UK construction market.
3. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
4. Ability to remain calm and flexible in various situations.
5. Strong commercial acumen.
