Senior Construction Planner- Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Planner to work within our Real Estate Division, with a focus on supporting our Commercial Developer and Industrial, Sciences and Technology teams in London. Working within our award winning teams will give you the opportunity to work across some of Turner & Townsend’s key clients, including high performing property developers, several blue-chip real estate businesses, and household names. You will get the opportunity to meet with clients to discuss their projects and delivery thereof and advise them on realistic timeframes.
Objective of the role:
- To support Project Management commissions in developing plans and programmes to deliver our service and projects and monitor and report against these, in accordance with defined scopes of duties and T&T systems, mission and values;
- To support Project Management commissions to achieve safe and efficient outcomes that meet agreed profit and client satisfaction objectives;
- To develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers and others who are influential in providing future business.
Responsibilities:
- Produce logic linked detailed integrated programmes (design, procurement and construction) fully backed up by a build strategy, construction methodology, logistics scheme and phasing plans.
- Provide support to the project team for all planning functions ensuring that issues within the programme are highlighted and understood.
- Give appropriate planning advice and direction to project team members & all relevant Stakeholders and produce programme assurance reports on our Client commissions.
- Apply critical path analysis and assess the impact of change on critical and non-critical activities. Deliver effectively the information regarding changes and delays that have impacted the programme.
- Provide specific programme outputs to analyse “Compensation Events”, “Early Warning Notices” impacts. Work as part of T&T’s Contract Advisory services and produce Delay analysis reports.
- Produce progress reports showing variance against the baselines.
- Deliver Period Programme Updates and input to project reports.
- Coordinate between Clients and their Partners’, consultants’ and contractors’ programmes of works and compliance with the Project Programme. Reporting areas of ‘non-compliance’ for resolution.
- As appropriate and required, provide planning support to the bidding team to do all the activities necessary to submit the bidding documentations in time.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a proven track record of delivering projects as a Senior Planner/Project Planner with 10 years + experience with a UK based main contractor / project management consultancy.
- Experience on a variety of projects such as Residential, Commercial, Education, Leisure, Industrial, Health & Retail.
- Proficient use of Asta Powerproject (Primavera and Microsoft Project an added bonus).
