Job description

Senior Compliance & Enforcement Officer

Salary: £34,314 - £37,035 per annum

We’re seeking a confident and experienced Senior Compliance & Enforcement Officer to join our Planning team.

In this role, you’ll lead on investigations into breaches of planning control, including non-compliance with conditions and legal agreements. You’ll work with developers, residents, and legal teams to resolve issues—taking enforcement action where needed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Investigate planning breaches and carry out site inspections
  • Negotiate resolutions or initiate formal enforcement action
  • Prepare reports, serve legal notices, and present evidence at appeals and court
  • Provide clear planning advice to the public and stakeholders

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong knowledge of planning law and enforcement
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach
