Job summary
The Tees Perinatal Mental Health Team are looking to recruit 1x Permanent, Full Time Senior Community Mental Health Practitioners. In addition, there is a fixed term/secondment, 30 hour Senior Community Practitioner vacancy to cover a maternity leave of 12 months. We are seeking highly motivated mental health nurse, occupational therapist or social worker with a keen interest in perinatal mental health. You will be a member of a pro-active and forward thinking multi-disciplinary team and be offered opportunities to develop and enhance your skills in this field.
Nursing applicants should already hold NMC registration and have successfully completed their preceptorship programme. Please note: Newly qualified Nurses or those due to qualify will be recruited via a separate process.
You will have experience of assessing and managing service users within the community and be experienced in delivering psychological wellbeing interventions. The post holder must have excellent communication skills, be able to act on their own initiative and have a knowledge of safeguarding procedures. You must be able to work flexibly within a challenging environment.
