Senior Commissioning Manager (Statutory Primary Medical), 1 WTE, substantive.

Are you ready to take the lead in transforming primary medical services in Devon? We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commissioning Manager to join our dynamic Primary Care Team. This permanent position, at Band 8b, is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy and fast-paced environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the delivery of statutory primary medical services, ensuring they align seamlessly with our broader strategic long-term plans. You will oversee all aspects of statutory responsibilities for medical contracts ensuring that our GP services are contractually robust and well-positioned to support our change and transformation agenda. You will also play a key role in delivering additional and enhanced medical services, optimising the use of resources to meet patient needs while considering associated pathways.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone with recent, demonstrable experience in contractually defining GP services and leading procurement processes for primary medical contracts. Your ability to interpret complex contractual and policy issues and manage uncertainties with third parties will be invaluable. In return, we offer a challenging yet rewarding role within a supportive and collaborative work culture, all while contributing to the future of primary medical services in Devon. If you are passionate about making a difference and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we encourage you to apply.
