Job Description

Brownlee Cale are recruiting for a Lead Commissioning Engineer for a tier 1 civil engineering contractor in Brighton.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and review commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for water supply systems.
  2. Coordinate with design, construction, and operational teams for smooth commissioning phases.
  3. Oversee equipment inspections, system testing (e.g., pressure, functional, performance), and FAT/SAT sign-offs.
  4. Monitor water processes and respond to alarms, faults, and issues.
  5. Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety procedures.
  6. Maintain communication with clients, regulators, and project teams, providing progress updates and reports.
  7. Mentor junior engineers and assist in their development.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
  1. Experience in the water industry.
  2. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., DWI, OFWAT, EA, HSE).
  3. Ability to manage commissioning tasks, identify risks, and apply appropriate control measures.
  4. Proficiency in using commissioning tools, equipment, and technology.
