Legal Director / Partner – Travel & Regulatory - London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Director / Partner to join a well-established and reputable law firm’s Travel & Regulatory team. This role offers the opportunity for a talented transactional lawyer to provide high-quality legal advice to a diverse client base within the travel and leisure sector, including companies offering international and UK holidays, the cruise and ferry industry, hotel owners, and industry bodies.

Overview

Title: Legal Director / Partner

Location: London

Salary: Dependant on Experience

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Advising clients on commercial travel law, including regulatory compliance, booking terms and conditions, website compliance, and consumer protection and drafting commercial agreements.
  2. Playing a key role in business development, fostering relationships with new and existing clients.
  3. Being directly involved in the growth of this offering as the team expands - this role is set against the backdrop of further development of this practice area.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Qualified Solicitor with experience in travel law (private practice or in-house).
  2. Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  3. A commercial mindset with the ability to develop business and expand client relationships.
  4. Knowledge of Package Travel Regulations, the Montreal Convention, and the Athens Convention is advantageous.

This is a burgeoning team at a large global firm. The successful applicant will work alongside the partnership board as the team develops and there is a real opportunity to play a pivotal role in the department's growth strategy.
