Senior Commercial Officer

Location: Coventry, UK
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE)
Hours: Mon–Thu 08:00-16:35, Fri 08:00-15:10
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, On-site (1 day hybrid if required)

The Opportunity
A leading defence and engineering company is seeking a Senior Commercial Officer to oversee pre- and post-contract management for UK and international markets. This role involves drafting, negotiating, and managing complex contracts while ensuring full compliance with governance and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Commercial and contract management for major defence contracts
  2. Supporting bids, proposals, and contract negotiations
  3. Ensuring compliance with contract obligations and regulatory requirements
  4. Managing commercial risks and opportunities
  5. Conducting due diligence and overseeing third-party agreements
Who We're Looking For
  1. Extensive experience in commercial/contracts management, ideally in defence or a regulated sector
  2. Strong negotiation skills with attention to detail
  3. Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
  4. Understanding of import/export regulations (desirable)
