Location: Remote with travel to Birmingham / Bristol (1 day a week)

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 plus

Summary

A successful family-owned international construction company is looking to take on an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to bolster their commercial team within their UK Rail business unit.

The Senior Commercial Lead will take full commercial responsibility and ownership for projects, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships and maximizing commercial returns and managing risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with the customer, his representatives and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional monies.
• Cost and value management for project, ensuring appropriate systems and procedures are in place.
• Financial reporting for project.
• Change management for project: record change and allocate responsibility. Evaluate/recover any change that is not Sisks's risk/liability (including recovery from 3rd parties).
• Risk and opportunity management for project: management (with operations team) of known and newly identified risks and opportunities for best project return as well as identification and implementation of mitigation measures.
• Manage commercial team to ensure delivery of key responsibilities and develop their knowledge.

Qualifications/Training

• Experience working in a similar role in the rail / civils sector.
• Membership of a Professional Institution - such as SCSI or RICS.
• Financial Management.
• Dispute resolution.
• Behavioural Based Safety (BBS).
• Experience managing and leading others.
